Kenneth Mejia - Koreatown Community Potluck & Picnic!

Hello friends! 😁

Please join me and our team as we aim to hold weekly community potlucks & picnics in California's 34th Congressional District of Los Angeles before our June 5th election in which we aim to make history by being the first Green in Congress! 💚

We believe it's crucial you know who your next Representative will be and therefore please come learn about our campaign, what we're fighting for, and who we are while playing in the park and having something to eat!

Bring the whole family, some toys or games to play with at the park, and any food or drinks to our community potluck & picnic!

Please invite your friends, family, and neighbors! 😁

"Kenneth is a 27-year-old first generation Filipino-American Community Organizer, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and Board Member of the Wilshire Center Koreatown Neighborhood Council.

He organizes with the community service group, “We Can Make a Difference – LA”, providing meals, blankets, hygienic products, clothing, and shoes to the homeless, school supplies to low income families, funds for tenants fighting rent increases or evictions, and environmental community cleanups. He also organizes to fight for Single Payer healthcare by organizing marches, rallies, and canvassing events to educate the community.

Certified Public Accountant – Kenneth worked as an auditor auditing large multi-million & billion-dollar corporations to ensure that their financial statements were in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Neighborhood Council Board Member – Kenneth fights for working class families and those living in poverty constantly voting “No” on statements of support for real estate developments of market rate apartments being built due to the higher rent increase and displacement it will bring, and that the average working family in Los Angeles cannot afford these apartments. Kenneth has also taken the charge in pushing his Board to endorse the Repeal of Costa Hawkins which would allow cities across California to enact Rent Control.
